Space Assignment Updates

At the beginning of each quarter, Cost Allocations and Analysis updates the Internal Allocation System with space information from Plant Accounting's STAR (Space Tracking and Reporting) system. These space updates directly impact the monthly rent allocations on 9009XX.

Effective FY09, rent expense (gl 9009XX) is assessed each month based on actual dollars charged to the buildings.  In general, the assessment percentages are updated quarterly based on occupancy according to STAR.

The following dates are deadlines for having space updated in STAR, so that any changes can be reflected in the allocation cycles. Please forward space change information to Plant Accounting with enough lead time to allow them to process the changes to meet the dates listed below.
