E-Commerce @ Duke
Electronic commerce (e-commerce) provides a convenient way for consumers and businesses to accept payments for conference registrations, gifts, the purchase of goods and services, and more. With an increasing number of Duke departments wishing to conduct business “on-line”, we must ensure we're providing secure access and controlling our costs across the University. It is in Duke's best interest to facilitate the transfer of e-commerce transactions through implementing enterprise-wide policies and procedures, assuring e-commerce transactions are consistent with Duke's status as a tax-exempt research and educational institution.
DukePay has been developed as Duke's central internet payment processor, and it provides the functionality and security required to manage various types of on-line transactions. All departments using web credit card processing should carefully review all sections of this website, including the Duke E-Commerce Policy* and Policy Letter from Duke's EVP*.
