As the end of the fiscal year approaches, I wanted to take the opportunity to remind you of the upcoming training events sponsored by Corporate Payroll Services. To view detailed course descriptions and to register, please visit the Payroll Training website.
In addition the New Department Payroll Representative training, Corporate Payroll Services is offering the following courses during the months of May and June:
Corporate Payroll Service's Quarterly Lunch and Learn
This session provides an opportunity for Department Payroll Representatives to share best practices with each other over a casual lunch. During this session Corporate Payroll Services will also be requesting feedback on the 2008 tax form distribution process.

Foreign Nationals and Payroll
This session will assist Department Payroll Representatives to better understand the complexities of working with Foreign National Employees.

Department Payroll Representative Update
Recommended for all Department Payroll Representatives, this biannual update provides Department Payroll Representatives with critical information needed to stay current in their payroll responsibilities. While a specific agenda will be communicated closer to the date, topics to be covered will include the following:
- Changes to payroll policies and/or procedures
- Reminders in preparation for fiscal year end
- New/changing compliance information
- Tips and Techniques to assist payroll representatives
Separate sessions will be offered for the University, School of Medicine, and DUHS.
