About SAP R/3 Printing
Setting Up a Printer In R/3
Ask your expert user, user administrator, or technical support
person, or
- In R/3, click on System > User Profile > Own Data
- Click on the tab labeled "Defaults."
- Type in the name of your local SAP R/3 Output device or pinter in the "OutputDevice" field.
- Check "Output Immediately" if desired.
- Check "Delete After Output" if desired.
- Select the appropriate "Decimal Notation"
- When you have finished, save the information by either clicking the disk at the top (
), clicking User > Save, or by pressing Ctrl+S on your keyboard.
- Now that you have setup a default printer, continue on to the "Printing in R/3" (below) to learn how to print.
Printing in R/3
- Click on the
Print button or follow the menu path: Report > Print to get this screen.
- If the Print current report dialog box appears, click on the
Continue button to get the Print List dialog box.

- Ensure your printer name is displayed in the Output Device field.

- Select print options as needed.

- Once all printing options are selected, click on the
Continue button to print.

Configure a Printer to Use With R/3

- Register as a User
Registration will allow you to tag each printer request you submit with a User ID. You
may use this ID to retrieve a status summary for all of your printer requests at one time.
- Enter a New Printer Request
Fill out this form to submit a request to have a printer set up for R3.
- Find Printer
Obtain a status report for all requests entered under your User ID. You may also view
the status of an individual printer by searching on its Tracking Number.
- View All Open Requests (password required)
For adminisitrative use - view/modify all currently open printer requests.
