An Assigned JV number by design belongs to a department, not the contact person. This ensures the historical ability to identify the department responsible for any particular Journal Voucher. If the contact person associated with an Assigned JV number changes, a request to update the Assigned JV list is submitted to change the name of the person...not to add a new number. It is NOT NECESSARY for each person in a department to have a unique JV reference number. Multiple people may use the same number. Also, if you are replacing someone, you may use the JV reference number that person was using, and submit the "Request a Change to the Assigned JV Reference Number Contact List" form.
