Capital Project Procedures:
Changing/ Maintaining User Defined Dates

Dates can be maintained by WBS element within the Capital Project System. The dates that can be entered are the beginning and end dates for the following three items:

Bsc	Should be used for plan dates
Fcs	Should be used for current forecast dates
Act	Should be used for actual dates

These dates are optional and if used will be maintained by the project managers. The utilization of these dates can be a useful management tool. It allows you to maintain the detailed project calendar in the system. The current forecast dates will be utilized by central finance in order to look at the validity of the plan spread over the overall calendar.

If you enter the beginning and end date the system will calculate the duration. In this calculation the dates entered are calculated in the number of days.
