SUBJECT:	Financial Certification Program: Test-out Option Ending

As you are aware, Financial Services launched a Financial Certification Program in April, 2009. One of the tracks of the Financial Certification Program is the Certified Department Payroll Representative. I am pleased to say that 54 individuals have received this certification and are currently Certified Department Payroll Representatives. An additional 30 are currently seeking certification.

We announced at the launch of the program that a Test Out Option would be available for a period of time. This option allows experienced Payroll Representative to take the final exam without taking or retaking classes. When the individual passes the exam, they receive certification without being required to take the quizzes for individual classes.

As of November 1, the "Test Out" option will no longer be available. If you are interested in this option, please visit the website and register for the "Test-Out" option of the program. You must register by October 31 and take your final exam no later than December 31, 2009 to take advantage of this option.

Once the test-out option expires, you will be required to participate in the full program and will only be given credit for classes you have taken within the past year.
